Join us at the WAG-Qaumajuq and Delta Hotels Winnipeg from December 3-5, 2024, in Winnipeg for the End Homelessness Together event. The event will gather sector staff, people with lived experience of homelessness, government, landlords, and businesses to find homelessness solutions.

Our 2024 theme is: Acknowledging Truth and Working Towards Reconciliation. With 75% of those experiencing homelessness identifying as Indigenous but only 14% of the population, we must address this disparity. Equip yourself with tools and strategies to change these statistics and create a home for everyone.

This event focuses on action, celebrating achievements, forging connections, and fostering collaborations to redefine future services. Together, we’ll build a comprehensive approach to ending homelessness through shared knowledge and actionable solutions.

Capital funding is now available to support the development of new transitional or supportive housing units for individuals experiencing homelessness in Winnipeg. We are seeking innovative projects that can contribute significantly to increasing the local supply of transitional and
supportive housing.


Eligible Projects:
Projects may involve new construction or the conversion (renovation) of non-residential spaces into transitional or supportive housing units, or the redevelopment of a vacant residential building that has been deemed uninhabitable (and therefore “lost” from the housing stock). The project MUST increase the supply of transitional and supportive housing units available in Winnipeg. Funding is not intended to renovate existing housing supply.

Funding Availability:
We welcome Letters of Interest for projects that have:

a. Secured some capital funding and are ready to start construction, or are currently under construction and need additional funds for completion;

b. Total capital funds requested, from End Homelessness Winnipeg – Reaching Home, less than $4,000,000 and can demonstrate that these funds can be fully spent by March 31, 2025;

c. Confirmed operational funding for service delivery for people residing in the new transitional or supportive housing units.
