Community Organizations Urge Collaborative Response Following Increased Enforcement Near the Access Centre
End Homelessness Winnipeg was established through a community-driven effort that brought together governments, service providers and Indigenous leadership to build a shared response to homelessness. This foundation remains central to our work today.
Our approach has evolved from planning to system coordination. Through coordinated access, shared data, and aligned investment, we work with partners across the housing, health, justice, social service systems and the broader community to prevent homelessness and support faster pathways to housing when it occurs.
Guided by our 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, our focus is to strengthen prevention, advance Indigenous-led solutions, improve system accountability, and reduce chronic homelessness through measurable outcomes. This work is grounded in partnership, informed by data, and shaped by the lived experience and aspirations of our community.
Naatamooskakowin is Winnipeg's Indigenous led, community-created Coordinated Access system, designed to ensure individuals and families experiencing chronic homelessness can access referrals to Housing First programming at the right time, through clear, equitable, and culturally safe processes.
