End Homelessness Winnipeg was established through a community-driven effort that brought together governments, service providers and Indigenous leadership to build a shared response to homelessness. That foundation continues to guide our work.
Today, our role has evolved from planning to system coordination. Guided by our 2025-2030 Strategic Plan, we work with partners across housing, health, justice, social services and the broader community to strengthen prevention, advance Indigenous-led solutions, improve accountability, and support faster pathways to housing through coordinated access, shared data and aligned investment.
The new five-year strategic plan, Everyone Belongs sets a clear direction forward: strengthen Indigenous leadership, expand coordinated access, improve data and shared learning, and advance housing and support systems that meet real community need.
End Homelessness Winnipeg, along with its the collaboration of its partners, provides the community with a variety of resources to assist them with housing supply, prevention and person-centered supports.
Since April 1, 2019, End Homelessness Winnipeg has served as the Community Entity (CE) for Reaching Home in Winnipeg, Canada's federal homelessness strategy.
Naatamooskakowin is Winnipeg's Indigenous led, community-created Coordinated Access system, designed to ensure individuals and families experiencing chronic homelessness can access referrals to Housing First programming at the right time, through clear, equitable, and culturally safe processes.
End Homelessness Winnipeg has led and participated in a variety of research initiatives that help us to better understand the experiences, needs and demographic characteristics of the people experiencing or at risk of homelessness in Winnipeg.
The Homeless Hub is one of Canada's leading online sources for research, evidence and practical resources on homelessness. The platform supports service providers, researchers, policymakers, students and communities by bringing together evidence, promising practices and tools that can inform stronger responses to homelessness across Canada.
