She said the Housing First model – which is being used in Winnipeg by several organizations – isn’t as simple as handing over keys and providing a myriad of social services. There’s a significant spiritual component to healing, she explained. In the case of Indigenous people, who form most of Winnipeg’s homeless population, reconnecting with spirituality can help.”
