Abdikheir Ahmed is the immigration partnership Winnipeg (IPW) coordinator at the Social Planning Council of Winnipeg and previously served as executive director of the Immigrant and Refugee Community Organization of Manitoba (IRCOM) Inc.

Abdi has a Master’s degree in International Peace and Conflict Resolution and a BA in International Development, and is a passionate advocate for the needs of immigrants and refugees in Canada. He serves on several boards and committees of organizations serving immigrant and refugee communities in Winnipeg and was recently voted a finalist of CBC Manitoba’s Future 40 for his leadership in key issues affecting immigrant and refugee newcomers in Manitoba.
