Infographic: Gendered Homelessness in Winnipeg

The 2018 Winnipeg Street Health Survey focused on the health status, housing, and social service needs of people experiencing homelessness. The infographic presents key findings on gender and 2SLGBTQ+ characteristics and experiences from the Street Health Survey.

Between July and October 2018, 406 individuals took part in the Winnipeg Street Health Survey. End Homelessness Winnipeg launched the survey’s Final Report in February 2019. The survey and report were completed as a result of collective effort by many local organizations working in partnership.

This infographic is the first part of a larger research project that applies a gender lens to information gathered by the Street Health Survey. A larger report is anticipated to follow in Spring 2021. The infographic is being released to coincide with the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence, taking place from November 25-December 10.
