Coordinated Access Council: Call for Members

Operating toward a shared vision of Coordinated Access and guided by the Reaching Home mandate to implement a Coordinated Access model in the City of Winnipeg, the Coordinated Access Council will be a group of people, representing various sectors and stakeholder groups,

who are committed to working in collaboration and cooperation to guide and promote a common vision for the goal to end homelessness in Winnipeg.

The Coordinated Access Council will advise on:
• The values and principles that the work will operate from
• The polices and procedures that will operationalize Coordinated Access
• The priority populations that the model will initially focus on
• The organization that will coordinate the work

Representation

Membership will be at least 70% Indigenous (First Nation, Métis or Inuit). Efforts will also be made to seek representation of individuals qualified from • Elders • People with lived/living experience of homelessness • 2SLGBTQI people • Youth • Women • Persons with Disabilities • People transitioning out of systems, including the child welfare, justice, education, domestic violence and health care systems • Newcomer community • Community service providers, including addiction supports, mental health supports, women support services • Indigenous community
